A mono-print workshop was developed to address the use of symbolism in literature. Students were challenged to analyze the symbolism within the novel Lord of the Flies. They considered the natural world surrounding the characters in the book to create their artwork as well. The results were beautiful in executions of the prints and the plates that were created with a simple method using foam board, pencils, brayers, and acrylic paints.
