A watercolor workshop was developed to address the transformation of character within literature. 9th grade English Literature students were challenged to depict the character of Napolean and his transformation to power in the novel Animal Farm. Their parameters were to pick one of three stages of the figure and express the text in color, symbolism, and texture. We created a digital animation of the results to portray the change. Below are the results.
