A cyanotype printmaking workshop to interpret the theme of relationships and love within Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. 9th grade high school literature students were challenged to choose a relationship within the play and illustrate their ideas about the dynamics between the characters. They learned about cyanotype printmaking, a method using light exposure The students interpreted each other's work, guessing at which relationships were illustrated and how the work was interpreted. It sparked interesting analysis and conversation!
